This Is My Responsibility To Think About Muslim Education, Do Not Give Us Any Instructions: Mamta Banerjee

Kolkata: With an argument started that being chief minister of the state west bengal, it is our responsibility to think of minorities for their welfare, educational and social development. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee slammed extremist politicians and said that the Center or any leader should not give me any instruction on this. I am concerned about every section of the community living in the state. There is a 31% minority population living in West Bengal and they can not be ignored for their basic rights.

While addressing the Annual Program of West Bengal Minority and Financial Corporation, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee strongly condemned the central government and said that till now there is no fund been released for the state development available for central schemes and in spite of all the schemes are being run in Bengal alone which is shameful.

Mamata Banerjee said that the central government has stopped funding for scholarships of minority students. Despite this, we are giving scholarships to the minority students so they can keep continue their education.

Mamata Banerjee said that minority students can not be deprived of education. They have the same right over education as much as other classes.
